Quiet Winter Months
posted by: Tony Vornberger on January 16, 2020 at 10:17 AM
January and February are slower guest months for us but it's a time for our team to get caught up on maintenance projects and promotion and planning for events coming up this year.  It is a great time for service projects and getting service hours in for school and scout requirements.  If you are 16 or older looking for service hours let us know.  I would recommend you apply to volunteer and get connected to us, so that way when your ready the process for approval is completed.

Potter’s Ranch Riding Center

Our Therapeutic Riding programs offer opportunities for all individuals. Our core program, teaches adapted riding skills to children and adults with physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral challenges. All participants work towards individualized goals in a safe, fun and compassionate environment.

NEW in 2019 Equine Assisted Learning where participants from elementary, middle and high school come to the Ranch to work with our Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, our horses and trained volunteers weekly throughout the school year.
Our facilities include Indoor and Outdoor arenas, sensory trail and classroom adapted for our clients’ needs.
We have openings for New Clients in 2020!!  Contact us:  ridingcenter@pottersranch.org or visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pg/PottersRanchRidingCenter
PRRC Volunteer Program

While the Potter’s Ranch Wranglers have always been our steady source for volunteers, this year the Barn offers even more volunteer opportunities for those who love horses & serving others. Become a Side WALKER, Horse HANDLER, Trail GUIDE, or give horse baths & clean stalls and earn the opportunity to become a Potter’s Ranch Praise Rider! Our Praise Riders are an all-volunteer drill team that performs a precision drill to Christian Music at Annual Ranch Round-Up Fundraising Gala. Email joellen@pottersranch.org for your Volunteer packet! See you at the RANCH!
2019 proved to be a year of Baby BLESSINGS!

We received Norfleets Hy Sierra (barn name Sierra) in September of 2018, in February it became apparent Sierra was having a baby! On May 26, 2019 the Ranch welcomed a Dun Colored Colt to the herd. We held a Facebook name the baby contest and PAYSON STORM was the winning name, and of course Payson was a huge hit during summer camp. Payson will begin his training here at the Ranch in a New Program for 2020. (Stay tuned for more details to come)
We were also Blessed with 3 baby fainting goats (again a surprise God had in store for us) Hannah and Hope joined the Petting Zoo in September and we were blessed with Isaiah in February and then Ezekiel and Isabella in March.

AMOS was donated to the Ranch in March of 2019 by Kelly Pulley of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Amos has been a huge addition to the Petting Zoo and to Our Ranch Summer Horse Camp programs! Each week we had a different theme and Amos was a Pirate for “Q” marks the spot Treasure Hunt week, a jester for Medieval Mayhem week, a COWBOY for Wild, Wild West Week and GOLD Medal Winner for Ranch Olympics Week!
Amos is a name that means “to bear a burden”, it’s also a name of a book in the Bible but we also learned from one of our Children’s home boys that AMOS means “Add Me On Snapchat” Amos says, “You are welcome to add him on Snapchat-if you can find him there!”

New in 2020! We are adding to our Day Horse Camp Monday-Friday 9-4 with a NEW Overnight option on Thursday Night, camp out at Tipi Village and participate in the Parent Horse Show on Friday evening!
NEW in 2020 is a RESIDENT Horse Camp where kids get checked in on Monday and stay till the Parent Horse show on Friday evening! Campfires, Night Hikes, Hay Rides, Theme Parties & so much more every evening at resident horse camp!

Special Thanks to Financial and In-Kind Supporters
posted by: Aaron Barker on December 18, 2019 at 3:27 PM
Watching the Lord work is amazing.  He does great and marvelous things in our lives each day.  What is even more humbling is seeing the Lord move through others to help during our fundraisers.

As such, we want to take space to welcome those who have contributed to God's work here at Potter's Ranch this year.  Although this is does not compare to the rewards each will recieve from Jesus, it is nevertheless truly from the heart.

Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22
We are so thank you for all the Blessing the Lord has provided this year.  If you didn’t get a chance to visit us this year, we hope that we will see you soon.  Potter’s Ranch continues to grow and we were very excited to add Dyslexia Camp to our Kid’s Quest programs and will see both day and residential camp return.  Registration has opened for all out Kid’s Quest Camps.
We continue to lift Chef Dave up in our prayers. Our beloved Chef Dave suffered a stroke while at work in March. I’ve been given permission to share this fundraiser in the hopes some of their financial burden is lifted. Please share and consider a donation. Thank you!!!

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work2 Corinthians 9:8
We were truly blessed by the Gala Round Up this year.  Staying faithful to the journey we felt God was leading to have a western theme at the arena.  The team did an amazing job on the decoration and the food.  We were blessed this amazing sponsors and donations.  The Praise Riders gave a wonderful demonstration of their skills. The band Justified was awesome.  The weather was prefect too.
A special thanks to all the gave money, items for the auction and of course all the time our volunteers gave to make the Gala Round Up a night to remember.
